About Us
Rotary Club of Tokyo-West was founded on June 23, 1955, with the assistance of The Rotary Club of Tokyo-South as the sponsoring club.
The special representative was President of Tokyo-South RC, Mr. Choukichirou Sakuma, and the first president of Tokyo-West RC was Mr. Tatsujiro Machida.
The territory of our club is the west side of Tokyo, which includes Shibuya-ku, Setagaya-ku, Oota-ku, Meguro-ku, and Shinagawa-ku.
In our 50 year history, we have extended and established 8 new Rotary Clubs within this area.

About Us
Our Banner is a copy of the national treasure, "Irises, from a scene of the Tales of Ise," by Ogata Korin from the Nezu Institute of Fine Arts. The design was done by a late member of our club, Yoshiro Taniguchi; and the lettering was done by late member and calligrapher, Takeshi Ono.There is a famous Iris Garden in Meiji Shrine, which is in our territory.
